What is Brainwave Entrainment? How to Achieve Brainwave Entrainment or Synchronization with Binaural Beats & Isochronic Tones?
What is brainwave entrainment? In case you’re unfamiliar with it, brainwave entrainment (also called brainwave synchronization), refers to the tendency of the brain
to match sync or entrain to a repeating stimulus of a particular frequency.
For example, if you listen to a sound recording that’s designed to entrain the brain
to frequencies in the theta brainwave band (5 – 8 Hz), the brain
will naturally begin to produce brainwaves that match these frequencies.
This phenomenon is called the ‘frequency following response’.
Brainwave entrainment is useful because brainwaves of different frequencies are linked with different physical and mental states. And while people can train themselves to access these states at will, such as by practicing meditation or self-hypnosis, such techniques normally take a long time to master.
But by using brainwave entrainment, even someone who is not skilled with mind control can learn to access various brain
states with relative ease.
How to Achieve Brainwave Entrainment or Synchronization with Binaural Beats & Isochronic Tones?
There are three types of brainwave synchronisation recording: binaural beats, isochronic tones, and monaural beats. All three work very well, although isochronic tones are generally agreed to be the most powerful, as they entrain the brain
more efficiently.
While binaural beats use sound with different phase for different ear, isochronic tone is created by evenly space burst of tones. Because of this, entrainment using this tone does not require the use of headphone.
One of the major shortcomings of binaural beats are that they require the use of both ears, and special speakers (headphone) assignment. The requirement to use both ears also limit the use with some methodologies which do specific are stimulus – not both side of the ears.
Self hypnosis and brain
wave entrainment have helped many people to take control of their mind and sometimes this is all the support required to make the required change in consciousness to make important changes. Using these techniques your brain
can be easily reprogrammed to achieve anything you desire. Sometimes a small nudge in the right direction has proved to be the turning point that has created a success out of an apparently stagnant situation. You may find this is all you need to make important changes to take back control of your own future
